Lithograph portrait of Philip Fontaine

Philip Fontaine works with emerging and established leaders who want to grow their effectiveness, navigate their careers with greater intention, and contribute to healthier workplaces. He also helps organizations develop and retain early-career talent by turning development programs into environments where people learn to perform, belong, and stay.

Before becoming a coach, Philip spent more than five years in executive recruiting, partnering with more than 200 organizations and leaders from middle management through the C-suite. That experience gave him a close view of what attracts strong talent, what causes good people to leave, and how leadership and culture shape both performance and retention.

Philip's work includes individual leadership and career coaching as well as group experiences such as Building Workplaces People Love, Next Level Leader, Enneagram workshops, and Launch, a program focused on retention and performance for rotational-program participants.

He holds degrees in economics and finance from the University of Alabama. A Charlotte native, Philip is active in CBMC and leads marriage-ministry curriculum at his church alongside his wife. He brings the same intentionality to being a husband and father that he asks leaders to bring to their work.
